One Sheet Skiff Project
We are really looking forward to the Tall Ships Races coming back to Hartlepool in 2023.

Hartlepool is a town with a long and proud association with the sea, and we want everyone to have the opportunity to design, build and race a boat as part of the Tall Ships Races 2023.
​
There will be several ways of getting involved:

You could build your own boat

You could design, paint and decorate a boat we have built

You can race a boat (one you have built, or one of ours!)

BUILD
One Sheet Skiffs are quite easy to build.
​
Materials:
-
One sheet of 8x4 ply
-
A little bit of timber, screws, wood glue
-
Caulking
-
Paint and Yacht Varnish
DESIGN
How creative can you be?
​
The Skiffs are a standard size and composition, but there is a lot of scope for being creative with how they look.

RACE
We will arrange a series of trials and fun races in the Marina on the build up and as part of the Tall Ships races 2023.
